Your child doesn't need another screen. They need a voice that gets them talking.

NURA is an audio app for children aged 5 to 8: 15 to 20 minutes a day, in English, French, standard Arabic or math — to listen to, repeat, and live out loud.

Before you read, listen

NURA, the way your child will hear it tonight

A real sample from the English track.

A short montage of real English phrases from the pilot.

A session, in practice

Not a feed to scroll through. A short ritual, guided from start to finish.

1

Voice welcome (0:30)

The voice greets your child by name and reminds them where they left off in their track.

2

Active listening (5–8 min)

A short story or lesson, well-paced, with pauses that let their attention breathe.

3

Speaking out loud (5–8 min)

Your child answers out loud, repeats, chooses. No keyboard, no feed to scroll.

4

Wrap-up and ritual (2 min)

A short recap, a word of encouragement, then back to real life.

15 to 20 minutes, once a day — the length of a ritual, not a screen session.

Why a voice, not another screen

A child who answers, repeats, offers a response — takes part

It isn't just a tap on a button — they act with their voice. When a screen does appear in NURA, it stays in service of listening: an icon, a simple choice, never a feed to scroll.

Our method

Every minute of listening is written, reviewed and recorded with the same care.

1

Recognized frameworks

Every track starts from recognized curricula and competencies, adapted to the child's age.

2

Writing and review

Scripts are written, then reviewed by our education team before any recording takes place.

3

Voice and pacing built for listening

Diction, pauses and repetition are calibrated for children aged 5 to 8.

4

Continuous improvement

Content evolves with feedback from the pilot and the families using NURA.

What the research says

Studied principles, not promises

Learning through active listening — listening, then responding out loud — is studied in the learning sciences. We draw on this research to build our tracks, without claiming that listening alone replaces full, structured teaching.

Researchers agree on this: what matters most for language development isn't just how many words a child hears, but the quality of the exchange — being able to respond, react, be drawn into the conversation.

Zimmerman et al., Pediatrics 2009 · Romeo et al. 2018

For children who are still learning to read, strong listening comprehension of a story is an important foundation for later reading skills.

Babayiğit, Roulstone & Wren 2021 (longitudinal study, n=716)

Children learn better when they take an active part — answering, retelling in their own words — rather than simply receiving content without interacting.

Whitehurst et al. 1988 · ICAP framework, Chi & Wylie 2014

NURA is a complement to your child's schooling, not a substitute for it.

What families are saying

“We built NURA because, like many parents, we were looking for a way to help our children learn without adding yet another screen to their day. The first feedback from families will appear on this page soon — we'd rather wait for real reviews than invent them.”
— Adnane, founder of NURA

How much screen time is really involved?

Very little. Most of the session happens by ear; when the screen is used at all, it's limited to an icon or a simple choice.

Does NURA replace school or homework?

No. NURA is a complement to active listening, not a substitute for classroom teaching.

How does the 7-day free trial work?

You can try the four available subjects for 7 days. No payment method is requested and there is no automatic charge. After the trial, monthly continuation is optional and paid offline.

Is the Arabic on offer Tunisian dialect or standard Arabic?

NURA teaches standard Arabic, designed to be accessible from age 5.

Is my data, and my child's data, protected?

Yes. We explain exactly what we collect, why, and for how long in our privacy policy.

Is there any commitment or automatic renewal?

No. There is no automatic renewal. You only pay offline for a month if you decide to continue after the trial.
